IA Tray System
The IA Tray System is designed for disinfecting boxes and trays, storage or transportation within various industries and the health care sector. Microorganisms and their biofilm and toxins, can build up very quickly on the surfaces if routine cleaning is inadequate or neglected. Boxes and trays are therefore constituting a serious risk of cross contamination in clean environments. Disinfection with certain chemicals can cause selection of dangerous superbugs that are able to outlive standard cleaning procedures. At worst case, the bacteria can end up on food products or sterile medical devices, where it can cause illnesses and even deaths. Disinfection with SonoSteam happens in just a single step and takes no longer than a few seconds, additionally, SonoSteam requires no post wash or long reaction time as compared to chemical disinfections.

SonoSteam is a sustainable green technology that offers fast, cheap and simple disinfection that saves time, space and additional cleanings steps. In fact, SonoSteam requires no post wash or long reaction time as compared to chemical disinfections. Disinfection with certain chemicals can cause selection of dangerous “superbugs” that are able to outlive standard cleaning procedures. At worst case, the bacteria can end up on food products or sterile medical devices, where it can cause illnesses and even deaths. SonoSteam can’t cause bacteria to become resistant, due to the use of force instead of chemicals.

Proof of performance, trials during pilot and industrial scale
The food box disinfection was fully evaluated through pilot and industrial scale studies. Pilot scale studies demonstrate the disinfection effect of critical high contaminations, which only may occur occasionally on boxes. Studies performed at industrial scale are crucial for process optimization and performance under real conditions. Results are shown in the table. Artificially contaminations with TVC and Enterobacteriaceae in levels around log 5 were completely reduced (100% reduction) to below detection limits (DL). Under real conditions, unwashed boxes may be heavily contaminated with bacteria, biofilm and visible food residues. SonoSteam disinfection was evaluated on prewashed and unwashed boxes. In both cases, full reductions were reached.
